Vinyl of the Week

I started posting “Kosmo’s Vinyl of the Week”  on my then “new” social media in November 2014, not long after a very dear pal said that he thought that I ought to share more about what I know.  After some consideration, I decided to share my record collection.

Once a week, preferably, but not always on a Friday I would write a few words about and post a link to a record in my collection, that I thought folks should either know about or be reminded of. Over ten years later, I have not missed a week, which means there have now been over 500 different VotW’s !

Recently, it was suggested to me by KIm Drobes  a radio producer at WABE, Atlanta and “My Man In The South”, art dealer Shawn Vinson,  that Kosmo’s Vinyl of The Week would make a great radio spot with me talking rather than writing and the actual record playing. And so, Kosmo’s Vinyl of the Week is going to start a regular appearance on WABE’s “City Lights with Lois Reitzes” https://www.wabe.org/podcasts/city-lights/ Starting January 8th, 2025, it will run every other Wednesday on Lois’s  arts and culture themed show which airs Eastern Standard Time at 1-2 PM and is repeated at 10-11 PM

I cannot be more specific time wise, but I do hope in the very near future to be able to post a link to my spot, which hopefully can include a sound clip.

These radio spots will be like a  “Best Of Kosmo’s Vinyl of the Week,” as there have just been too many great records already featured to pass over. As always, my selection follows no genres or planned route. I simply pick what I like. As far as I’m concerned Duke Ellington’s quote, “There’s simply 2 kinds of music, good music and the other kind” says it all.  If you are already a social media follower of my Instagram Facebook posts, fear not – they will continue as before.

If you read this and have any questions about either VInyl Of The Week or my Art, then feel free to email me a question or message me via Instagram https://www.instagram.com/kosmovinyl/ or Facebook https://www.facebook.com/kosmovinylartist/

I will do my best to answer !
